MUD Day

Today was Mud Day at the Children’s Museum in Wilmington. That meant that all the activities were MESSY!! We put on our bathing suits and were ready for some good dirty fun!

Madeline was my mud pie girl, she made tasty mud pies for at least a half hour while I played with Audrey. She was not a big fan of getting dirty herself, so the cooking with mud worked out much better for her.

Audrey finally got brave and stood in two of the pools with me… one was full of mud, which she didn’t really care for. She was not pleased that it made her red toenails dirty. But the other was full of sand… just like the ocean, so it was her favorite!

And when you are super dirty, bathtub foam is AWESOME!!

The girls had a blast with all the mud activities, but once it started raining they were ready to head inside and check out the rest of the exhibits, so we did!

A BIG THANKS to Gramma and Grampa Blevins—they bought the girls a membership to the museum for their birthdays, so now we get to go as often as we would like. The girls are definitely going to enjoy all the weekday programs that we will get to attend on a regular basis! Thank you, Gramma and Grampa!
